POW Christmas

It’s worth remembering that for some, not all Christmases have been spent in the comfort of their home, surrounded by their loved ones. On day nineteen of advent we’d like to share with you this Christmas Carol service program which took place in a German Prisoner of War camp in 1941. It belonged to a British soldier who we know was in a POW camp at this time and who suffered some level of visual impairment as a result of his service during the war. We can’t imagine what his Christmas must have been like that year, away from his family and equally what it must have been like for his loved ones.
